Regional Track Meet on May 16, 2009  (at North Henderson)

Four track performers from the Regional Meet on May 16, 2009 qualified for state competition on Friday, May 22, 2009 @ NC A @ T: Freshman, Megan Reecer--200m dash received 2nd place with a time of 27.4: Freshman, Penny Lane Buckner --100m hurdles received 4th place with a time of 17.03 and the 300m hurdles received 2nd place with a time of 49.88; Junior, Casey Peterson received 2nd place for the shot put with a throw of 45.9 1/4; and Senior, Winston Rhinebolt received 4th place in the 2 mile. Taylor Fender 7th place in the Discus throw with124-11. Kandis Fox got 10th in the Shot Put and 8th in the Discus Throw. Rebecca Hagerman got 10th place in the discus throw. Stuart Johnson got 12th in the triple jump.

The top four winners in each event move on to the state competition.

The other participants @ the regional meet were Freshman, Katherine Rothe-Skinner in the 800 & the mile; Junior, Stuart Johnson in the 100m dash (8th place) and the 200m dash (5th place); Junior, Taylor Fender in the discus & shot-put; Senior, Candice Fox in the discus & shot-put and Junior, Rebekah Hagerman in the discus & shot-put.
